» Geo-encoding

What are the options for encoding pictures' EXIF with location data? I use smugmug and I can manually type in addresses or lat/long but that isn't exactly fast if I have a set of 100 shots. I understand some cameras have GPS built-in but I don't want to buy a new camera and plus those aren't DSLRs. What I'd ideally like to have is a GPS that just tracked me (breadcrumb mode or whatever) and software that could match those 'breadcrumbs' to the EXIF data in a folder of pictures. Then it could match times to put lat/long data in all the pics. Is there anything out there like that? Any other cool options? I take long motorcycle rides and it'd be cool to put something like that on my website.Hmmm now that is interesting. Maybe providing the t...... - 2009-07-03

Hi, I have started a company in Canada. I have a few employees working for me. I want to reward them with some stock ownership in the company. As such, I have come up with an employee stock option plan. However, I don't have a lot of money to pay for legal cousel to develop all the rules and regulations that govern such a plan. I am looking for a template specific for Canada. I will modify the document myself and adapt it to my needs. Please remember that this is for Canada. We have rules that are slightly different than the US....... - 2009-07-03

» Some soundproofing alternatives?

I have a room thats about 20 feet down the hall from my parents room, and I sometimes talk about things that are not best overheard. Aside from keeping my voice down, is there a way to dampen the amount of noise coming from my room. I'm already trying to figure out a way to get the door to fit tighter into its frame. I'm also rearranging my room so that there is more furniture against the wall my room shares with the hallway, to absorb some sound. What else can I do?Sound is more or less just the result of vibrations so you have to cut down on what vibrates. Here are a few things you can do to muffle or contain the sound in your room. 1. Put some weather stripping around the door stop to help keep the door closed tighter...... - 2009-07-03

La empresa fabricante, Sanofi Aventis S.A., considera que los beneficios de la vacuna son ampliamente mayores que los riesgos. » Should Rock & Pop be separated "with a twist" (see details)?

The pros and cons of doing this has been discussed many times before to no avail, but instead of separating them, why not just create a new category called "Teen Pop" What do you all think? Lol I added the "with a twist" just for Rckets enjoyment.Oh, you evil man, yet another twist, ARGGGGGG! I also happen to be a huge fan of pretzel twists, got any of those? Those would be far better for my enjoyment. I like that idea a lot. Not only would it remove all the unnecessary garbage but it would send the MCR fans into an absolute tizzy, knowing that their beloved "rock" band is actually a pre-fabricated teen pop outfit. It would certainly set up a firestorm of debate as to which section a particular question would belong. I know I...... - 2009-07-03

» best heating solution for a room addition

What is the best heating solution for a room addition in CT. By best I mean cost, aesthetics, and comfort. It includes a full basement and measures 16X35. The upstairs will include a kitchen table and a reading area, while the basement will be the boys hangout, me and my 2 sons quality time. I am leaning towards electric radient floor heating preferably electric as I do not want to pour concrete with the hot water option, but am leery of electric usage cost. I would not want to use baseboards but am willing to consider if unobtrusive. » What is a good video software for Mac?

Sorry, but it needs to be for a Mac OS X 10.4 with intel core duo (that's the machine I use). Basically, I download videos or rip them from a DVD (sometimes that I burn) so that they can go on my iPod or computer. I then convert them and maybe edit commercials out, etc. Doing this requires the use of many different applications (which fortunately I was able to find all of them for free). But now I want one software that can do it all. Nothing to complex, but something that can get the "job" done. (In other words, I don't want Final Cut...too expensive). Probably something around the $50 to $100 range. The main features I'm looking for are: -can rip a DVD into a MP4 format -can edit the MP4 video to remove commercials...... - 2009-07-03

He has been castrated recently. Im not sure what injections he needs to have, can anyone tell me please.Usually after 8weeks. But each vet is different. They usually will not neuter them without vaccinating at the same time or prior to the surgery. Distemper depending on age is a series of 2-3 shots given 3-4 weeks apart (after 8weeks old). Leukemia is a series of 2 shots given 3-4 weeks apart after being tested and usually over 12weeks old. Rabies is given after 16weeks and the first one is good for a year then the one given the second year is good for 3 years.Rabies, FVRCCP & Feline Leukemia. Maybe FIP to. I've seen meso icons on GRL3 & Baron appear on storms that weren't even severe-warned. How accurate are these icons?I've seen meso icons on GRL3 & Baron appear on storms that weren't even severe-warned. How accurate are these icons? Algorithms on most consumer-grade software are set up to trip on any type of significant shear; you will often see markers along squall lines where gust front shear is maximized. The little circles are fun, but you really need to know the storm's nature from either visual observations or warning statements. The shear markers are more for visuals than anything, kind of a selling point for the makers. » Need help Shopping for a b-day gift! (hehehe!)

Ok, I'm a newbie... I have a Nikon D50 with the standard 18-55mm lens. Now I'm shopping for my first lens. What do you suggest I buy? I like to photograph birds and insects... (LOL!!! pretty different heh?) :blulsh2: Thanks!! :hail:Yeah, they are pretty different. For your birds you want a long lens, for a beginner, the 70-300G is alright and would give you a focal length of 450mm with your D50 and it's only about £100. You can try using this for your insects as well, bt it'll be pretty difficult, so for this you want a macro lens. Tamron do a lens that is even cheaper than the nikon! It's a 70-300 macro, so might work alright, but for that price I'm not sure how good it is! EDIT: Hang on, they also do a 28-300 macro lens. If this...... - 2009-07-03

We are looking for reliable and inexpensive firms to design and manufacture a high-quality, small-sized compass. We would prefer a single firm that could do both the design and the manufacturing, but if no such firm exists, separate design and manufactuing firms will be acceptable. We would prefer to work with firms in the New York metropolitan area if possible--particularly for the design work. More importantly, we need an inexpensive firm that will manufacture a small number of prototypes. The cheaper the better, even if we have to look outside NY or even overseas (particularly for manufacturers). Hi. I've searched everywhere for the answer to my question - so this is my last resort - hopefully someone can help me! I'm beginning a project with our old family photos; these are from the 50s and 60s, and are the 3 1/4 X 3 1/4 square photos. I scanned them all into the computer, initially planning to upload them to an online service for developing. However, now that I've done so, I've discovered that none of the providers (at least from what I've found) provide for developing square photos. Instead, I'd have to crop them to 3.5 X 5 or 4 X 5, or else I'd have to have a bunch of white space around the photos. (I do realize that the online services are primarily for digital cameras, which do not take square photos.) I was re...... - 2009-07-03

A proinflammatory cytokine, TNF-a is an immune/inflammatory marker, or indicator, that occurs in rheumatoid arthritis and many other inflammatory diseases. Since tomato carotenoids have been successful in other areas of health support, researchers decided to see if they would have an effect on immune and inflammatory markers. “Regular consumption of tomato and its products is being consistently associated with lower risk of several types of cancer and, to a lesser extent, coronary heart disease,” researchers wrote. “Among the many tomato components credit...... - 2009-07-03

» When I knew I had a virus, but my white blood count was 27,000 could that also mean cancer?

13 years ago I had hodgekins (cancer) lymphoma. I am in remission. I have no spleen, and my immunity stinks.. I was in hospital and my white blood count was 27,000. I was temp of 104.3, and had a horrible miagraine.. They discharged me, and now I have over 60 fever blisters/ulcers all through my lips and mouth. If your white blood count is that High, could it mean cancer again? What can I do to clear up these fever blisters? With a high white count and a fever that high I'm surprised you were not prescribed antibiotics. High white count and fever would probably mean bacterial infection. My suggestion would be to go back to the doctor. If you went to the emergency room they are only going to treat what they can at the moment. A general...... - 2009-07-03

» Will the cuts leave a scar?

My girlfriend cut herself, but she only did it one time. However, this one time she made several cuts on her stomach, and she says she won't ever do it again, but I'm afraid the cuts will scar. I don't want them to scar, I don't want her to have to remember how she felt, and I don't want to have to remember what they mean, either. So, do you think they will scar? Is there any way we can try to prevent it?First, I would guess that she is cutting to cause enough pain to override a more painful emotional pain. This type of behavior definitely requires professional therapy. It is very serious. As far as scars, that has to do with what the cuts are like, how much they have been exposed to the sun and if the skin has...... - 2009-07-03

» Biodiversity is crucial to ecosystem productivity

Brown scientists say biodiversity is crucial to ecosystem productivity PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] - In the first experiment involving a natural environment, scientists at Brown University have shown that richer plant diversity significantly enhances an ecosystem's productivity. The finding underscores the benefits of biodiversity, such as capturing carbon dioxide, a main contributor to global warming. Osvaldo Sala, director of the Environmental Change Initiative and the Sloan Lindeman Professor of Biology at Brown, and Pedro Flombaum, a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Brown, said the results confirmed tests charting how biodiversity affects aboveground plant productivit...... - 2009-07-03

Biota says US govt orders more Relenza March 23, 2006 - 2:52PM Biota Holdings Ltd says the US government has ordered more of its influenza drug Relenza to strengthen its defence against a possible bird flu pandemic. Biota said the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had ordered 2.2 million courses of the anti-viral drug from global pharmaceutical giant, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). The biotechnology company licenses Relenza to GSK. The order is in addition to the 1.75 million courses announced earlier this month. Biota receives a royalty of seven per cent on Relenza sales. The company said HHS secretary Mike Leavitt announced the plans yesterday as a bulwark against the deadly H5N1 strain in the event of a pandemic. He sai...... - 2009-07-03

» How manny miles to circle earth?

if you went around the earth once how manny miles would you travel and how manny time zones are on earthroughly 25,000 miles There should be 24 time zones, but there are more because a few places (India, Newfoundland) are offset by half an hour.25,046 miles , and 24 time zones To see the earth as a whole circle you need to travel out about 12,000 milesThe circumference of the earth AT THE EQUATOR is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers). But through THE POLES, it's only 24,859.82 miles (40,008 km). The rotation of the earth has an effect on how many time zones we have. The earth rotates every 24 hours which is why we have 24 hours in a day. We also have 24 time zones, each time zone stands for one hour. Greenwich Mean Time...... - 2009-07-03

» Do guys have to come off so desperate?

One time I was standing on a bus stop when some random man walked up and stood in front of me. He asked me if he could have a minute of my time. I shook my head no and he asked "Oh, so it's like that?" Did he not understand when I shook my head no to his inquiry of whether or not he could have a minute of my time? Did he think I would change my mind? Or how about the guys that will continue to talk AT a woman's back when she has clearly not acknowledged the man's presence? So why must some guys come of as desperate when trying to talk to women? Stick to the question. And don't make this a matter of what women may do...It's probably different for each of them. But one possible explanation is that th...... - 2009-07-03

I'm basically wondering which is better, I know people ask this all the time, and i know one brand isn't neccessarily better. Basically, im looking to spend about 600-700$, and I want to be able to "time lapse" them by slowing shutter speed...is it better to buy a digital or not for that? If you don't know what it is, don't answer or google it.I have experienced it, but only a few times... It's a rush and it never lasts very long.I have, and at present I am training so I can do so again later. Anyone at all who wants to prove this phenomenon to themselves, read the following books: Astral Dynamics - Robert Bruce Adventures Beyond the Body - William Buhlman ... there are other good ones too. I guarantee you this is a real phenomenon and you can check it out for yourself any time you like. Another book, Buhlman's 'Secret of the Soul', has the results of an astral projection questionnaire he put out. No fewer than 16,185 people responded with astral projection experiences. » Mini lights for Christmas. Some say "Exterior Use Only" and others say "Interior Use Only", ?

however, on some sets the instructions have faded or peeled off and I don't know whether they're inside or outside lights. Is it safe to interchange? And how can you tell what kind they are if the label is missing? The bulb size appears to be the same!Exterior is outside and interior is inside, when in doubt you have to use them inside if you don't know what they are. It's not the bulbs but the wiring and sockets which determines inside or out. Best to buy all exterior lights as they can be used indoors as well. Sorry, Plug them in exterior lights burn warmer which is why they are not recommended for use indoors although I have used them in cooler areas of the house such as on my unheated screen porch....... - 2009-07-03

» XP and Vista on same LAN don't talk

Hey All, How many of you have previous versions of Windows running on your home network and also have a computer running Microsoft Vista (any flavor)? If yes have you had problems sharing files, folders, and printers between them? Can you even see the XP computers from the Vista machine and vice-versa? I recently bought a notebook for my Mom to replace her old one running WinME. While I have it at home getting it setup for her to use and making a full backup I found that I had the problems I mention above. Did some searching and found that many others have the same trouble on their local LANs with older versions of Windows and Vista. I found on Microsoft's site that installing the Link Layer Topology and Discovery Responder on th...... - 2009-07-03

I would like help in assessing the size of the market for a small 'boutique' consulting company selling its services solving problems in Operations Research. If possible, I would like to know what the size, earning potential (rates that could be charged) and interest in the marketplace are for such services. Otherwise, I would like to know how I could go about finding out such information. Secondly, I would like a list of companies in Canada that focus on Operations Research Consulting. Mathis was on our local sportstalk outlet (in Atlanta - he's here for a Metros v. Silverbacks friendly) during drive time. If you told me five years ago that this was going to happen, I would've smiled at you and nodded. Then, after you left, I would have rolled my eyes, shaken my head, and wondered at the waste of a good mind. He didn't, of course, say anything ground-breaking. I was just astonished at his very presence.I am guessing it was 790 the Zone?? They were at the Open Cup game a few weeks ago, and actually seem a little more pro-soccer than 680. Even though both don't really seem to care. I am a little pissed that Mathis coming back didn't even make the AJC today. I know the Falcons first pre-season game is tonight, and J...... - 2009-07-03

» Is this cockatiel a female or male?

hi I just got a cockatiel and they said it was a male but I think it has pearl on the wings witch would make it a female. here are some pictures what do you think. [IMG]http://i402.photobucket.com/album...Looks like a male to me. Brighter colors. Pearlies are pearlie in more than a small area. Males also have button round eyes and females are more almond shaped. Also, age is dependent on coloration. A young bird who is pearlie can molt out to become a plain grey cockie. I had it happen to me, I got the prettiest pearlie who turned into a boy who just carried the pearlie gene. They're VERY small pictures which makes it harder to ID. It's either pearl or a pied, do you known which? Pied http://members.optusnet.com.au/~geoffwa...... - 2009-07-03

» What Is A Good Length Of Snowboard For Me?

I am about 6 foot 4 or 5. I dont know what size of board i should get. Is a 164 or 166 cm good for me???I'm 6' 3", size 12 shoe and I used a 166cm semi-wide Sims (due to toe drag issues with other boards). I recently changed boots and binding, and went down to a stiffer, more flick able 159cm for the east coast packed, groomed, park stuff.. I still pull the slow turner (166) out for the few powder days where the longer wider helps with floating on the powder. it depends. if you are going for all around riding, then yes a 63 is a good size. if you want to focus on park, go for a 157-59. it will ride fine in everything and you will have much more control in the park, but at high speeds and powder it can be lacking,...... - 2009-07-03

» How often should I get an oil change?

I am planning to buy a used red 1998 Ford Mustang in case that helpsonce a weekNot to dodge your question but in 1998 Ford recommended 5,000 mile oil changes. Here's what I've done in the past with my Sable and Taurus which both call for 5W-30. I suspect your Mustang also calls for the same viscosity grade oil. These two cars are my town and winter beaters so they see very few sustained high speed hot trip driving. I change the regular mineral oil every 3,500 - 4,000 miles. If you chose to use something like full synthetic Mobil1 you could very safely stretch the mileage to the maximum factory 5,000 mile recommendation. Forget partial or semi-synthetic motor oil. No oil company tells the public the exact % of synthetic oil...... - 2009-07-03
